Iranian Languages and dialects are a significant part of the Iranian national identity. It can be said that Persian language has been one of the factors for preserving and protecting Iran from the harshness and harm of time. Persian has acted as a connection between people over time. The strength of this significant language is the result of the sufferings and hard work of the great Iranian poets and literates such as Ferdowsi, Sa'di, Hafez and other Iranian thinkers. These great philosophers have strengthend Iranian languages by their works.
It can be said that the antiquity of the Iranian languages which are in turn derived from the Indo-Iranian Family of languages is as history itself. The history of the Iranian literature and science has proved that this language has a remarkable potential for presenting and transmitting the most complex scientific and philosophical thoughts. In order to keep this ability up to date, Iranians need to protect and preserve this treasure. Therefore, The Centre for The Great Islamic Encyclopaedia has organized The International Conference on Iranian Languages and Dialects (Present and Past) which is held every two years at The Centre.
It is our pleasure to invite scholars, linguists and researchers from all over the world to present their latest acheivements and studies in Iranian Languages and dialects at The Third International Conference on Iranian Languages and Dialects. It is obvious that the organizers of the conference respect all languages and dialects spoken in Iran and hope to receive proposals in these fields.
